Acupressure for Labor and Delivery Workshop on Saturday, Sept. 15th CANCELLED
Tuesday, 17 July 2007

PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR A NEW DATE/TIME, OR SEND US AN EMAIL IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE INFORMED ONCE IT IS RESCHEDULED.

A workshop for expectant moms and their partners. Like acupuncture, acupressure provides many benefits during labor. These include pain relief, increasing the regularity of contractions, easing anxiety, boosting energy, and decreasing nausea. Acupressure can be used in any setting—hospital, birthing center, or home—with or without other comfort measures, including anesthesia. Basic acupressure techniques can be learned by anyone.

When partners provide acupressure to the laboring woman they play an active role in her labor and give her the hands-on physical and emotional support she needs.

In this two-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to locate, as well as when and how to use, the most common points for labor and delivery.

Preregistration is required. Please call or email for more information.
