For those who've asked about my scholarly work

Many of you know I completed my doctorate in acupuncture and herbal medicine in the spring of 2021. Though getting a doctorate didn’t extend the clinical scope of practice I’ve had with a masters, it allowed me to stretch myself personally and professionally in other ways: It plunged me into the world of scholarly research and writing, greatly improved my Chinese language skills, and opened me up to many new professional opportunities.

Since then, my writing has been published in The Lantern, Medical Acupuncture, Convergent Points, NAJOM, and is in-press at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s journal, Chinese Medicine and Culture (CMAC). I’ve presented papers at Tel Aviv University and at an online conference sponsored by CMAC.

If you’d like learn more about my research, I was recently featured on the Qiological podcast discussing my research on case studies and narrative medicine.
